This collection contains two hundred sixty-eight reports which were written for the information of U.S. and Allied leaders. It includes reports which examine the occupation of Germany, the reconstruction of Europe under the Marshall Plan, and Cold War disputes arising both from Soviet policies implemented in Eastern Europe and from the Soviet threat to Western Europe. In addition, there is considerable material about the political, social and economic problems of postwar Germany. A number of reports address ramifications of the Yalta and Potsdam Conferences for the development of the Cold War.
Reports are arranged by geographical area. The reel guide must be used for access to material.
The reel guide contains a subject index.
