The Pennyroyal Press was founded in 1969 by American artist, printmaker, and educator, Barry Moser (1940-) in Massachusetts. Moser studied printing under Leonard Baskin at Baskin's Gehenna Press, as well as wood engraving under Fred Becker. The most notable feature of Pennyroyal Press works are Moser's wood engravings used as illustrations. The Pennyroyal press is still active today.
