Artists' Books in UMD Special Collections

An overview of the artists' book collection found in Literature and Rare Books in Special Collections at the University of Maryland.

Introduction

Imagery as a part of the book can be an integral part of the interpretation of a text. There are many different methods that illustrations are implemented in artists' books that can be seen in our collection, a few of which being woodcuts, cyanotypes, risographs, and the manipulation of different materials to create imagery.  Listed below are a selection of the artists' books with illustration design features.
