History of Medicine Resources by Health Condition
This guide presents resources for the study of the history of medical practices, institutions, treatments, and experiences throughout the AM collections, mostly from an English-language and Western medical perspective. From the journals of ship surgeons describing 18th-century medical procedures on sea voyages to public surveys on ordinary people's opinions on universal healthcare, these primary sources cover a wide range of medical topics across centuries of primary source content.
The guide is organized by health conditions, including contagious diseases, mental health, women's health, living with disabilities, public healthcare, addiction, etc.
