Using the "tools" menu

Once your search results appear, you can also narrow your search using the "Tools" menu. In the video below, Dan Russell focuses on filtering image results by color. You can also filter results in several other ways; you'll read about some of these options in the text below once you watch Dan's video. 

Just as Dan Russell demonstrated filtering image results by color, you can filter results—both images and not— in additional ways. 

You can also filter search results by clicking on the "Tools" menu. You can filter image results by "Usage Rights" in order to find images with different licenses:

Also using the Tools menu, you can narrow results for a search for [Canadian wildfires] by specifying the dates you want to include results for. For example, you might only want results from the last 24 hours:

Or you can select and enter a "Custom Date Range" to search for results from a specific point in time (e.g., only June 2023):
