Off Campus Access to UMD Subscription Databases via VBIC

Off Campus Access to VBIC databases is available via two access points:  Library Home page or vSmith

To access via Library Home page

1. Click on Databases
2. Type VBIC in the Find Databases search box
3. Click on Search
4. Click on VBIC – link in middle of screen

You will be asked to enter your Directory ID and password when you click on any of the fee based databases

To access via vSmith

1. Click on vSmith
2. Sign in with your Directory ID and password
3. Click on Libraries Website Link
4. Click on Open
5. Click on Databases (on libraries home page)
6. Type: VBIC into Find Databases search box
7. Click on VBIC
