Reserve a Library room for solo work or group collaboration. Sort by activity, features, and noise level to find the perfect space! There is also a room reserved just for graduate students at McKeldin.

Color and black & white printers and copiers are available at all libraries on campus. You can open a Terrapin Express account online and use your University ID as your printing card.

The main library on campus. Houses the General Collection, the East Asia Collection and U.S. Government Information, Maps, & GIS Services. Most humanities and social science print materials (books, magazines, journals) will be found here.

Located on the 2nd floor of McKeldin Library, the Terrapin Learning Commons offers access to equipment loans, the Podcasting Lab, the Memory Lab, specialty printing and publishing services, and more.

Houses special collections, University archives, and rotating exhibits, including the Maryland Room, the Katherine Anne Porter Room, the Mass Media & Culture (MMC) broadcasting archives, the Advancing Workers’ Rights in the American South collection, UMD student newspaper archives, the National Trust for Historic Preservation Library Collection, and the Gordon W. Prange Collection.
