Getting access to resources off campus is an important part of your education! There are a few ways to access resources for UMD community members when they are off campus, including:
- Through the Libraries' website: The Libraries website will prompt you to login using your UMD credentials when you first access our resources, whether ebook, article, etc. Once you've logged in, you should be able to access all resources contained on the website.
- Off Campus Access UMD
- Check out UMD Library resources remotely including using the Database Finder, WorldCatUMD, and more.
- Through Google Scholar Library Links: Google Scholar allows you to connect your library to their search. This allows you to access all the articles that we subscribe to from the Google Scholar page.
- With the Reload Button: this is a useful tool for gaining access to individual items while you are searching the Internet. Be sure to visit the Reload Button research guide to find out more.
- Install and connect to GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- GlobalProtect VPN establishes an encrypted connection with devices off-campus to the UMD network. The UMD campus community has access to this service at no additional cost.
