The University of Maryland Libraries contain a sizeable collection of maps, ranging from geologic maps to historical maps.
The Maryland Map Collection contains more than 2,500 maps detailing Maryland's counties, towns, surrounding areas, and waterways such as the Chesapeake Bay. The print collection is available for viewing in the Maryland Room, a significant portion of which has been digitized and is also available online.
The U.S. Government Information, Maps, & GIS Services in McKeldin Library provide access to approximately 350,000 maps, atlases, and related reference materials of the United States, US territories, and some foreign territories.
