City directories are listings of individuals, businesses, schools, religious groups, and any other organizations existing within a city at a given time. They are useful for genealogists and researchers seeking information about cities' past residents and institutions.
City Directories typically contain both alphabetical listings of town residents and businesses, as well as residents and businesses according to street name/intersection. The Maryland Collection contains a number of directories for cities throughout Maryland, including College Park, Frederick, and Baltimore.
