Materials in Special Collections are non-circulating and can be accessed in-person in our reading rooms:

Once you identify materials for your research, follow the steps below to request onsite access and copies of Special Collections material.

If you do not plan to visit in person, skip this step and submit a request for copies of Special Collections material. |
Submit requests for boxes/items you want to view onsite in the reading room or for copies of Special Collections material. Requests are submitted using your Special Collections Account. |
Allow at least 3 business days to schedule a reading room appointment appointment and submit requests for materials you plan to consult during your visit.
Special Collections material may be stored offsite, may be part of an unprocessed collection that requires screening, or contains restricted files. These materials will take additional time to make available in the reading room.
