Library databases are especially good for complex keyword searches, so start your literature review here. Search your keywords in this database and locate a few articles that address each component of your research topic. C&MMC provides full text or citations for over 60 journals in communication, media, and other related fields.
Google Scholar works well for "citation chaining" and finding articles by title. First, link Google Scholar to the UMD Libraries. Then look at the References sections of your library database articles to find relevant citations, and copy/paste article titles into Google Scholar to find them. You can also try using the Cited By feature.
