Hello! I am the liaison librarian for faculty, staff, and students in Journalism and Communication. I also support instructors across UMD with using and creating affordable and open educational resources (OER). I look forward to working with you!
Please schedule an appointment or email me for…
One-on-one research assistance.
Information literacy and research skills instruction for your students – in-person sessions and/or online guides and tools.
Support with finding, implementing, or creating teaching materials and textbooks, including open educational resources (OER).
Help navigating library tools and systems (including UMD Discover), publishing, copyright issues, research data services, digital preservation, and more.
My approach centers critical librarianship and information literacies. My current research interests include open and new models of scholarly communications, media format preferences, and user experience (UX) design. I have a Master's in Library & Information Science (MLIS) from St. Catherine University and a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and Spanish & Hispanic Studies from Earlham College.
