Researching Poverty in the United States

Finding Books on Poverty

UMD Discover can be used to find books owned by the UMD Libraries as well as books owned by other libraries. Books not owned by the UMD Libraries can usually be borrowed through interlibrary loan. A useful way to search for books is by subject. A subject is not the same as a keyword; it is a standardized term meant to make sure that titles about a particular topic can be found despite the variety of language used in the title. To search by subject, choose the advanced search.
