Fearless Teaching in the UMD Libraries

journal club

Journal Club Description

Journal Club offers a collaborative learning community to engage trends and issues in the profession. Each Journal Club meeting is co-hosted by a graduate student Research and Teaching Fellow, who work together to identify a topic for discussion, locate an article or other learning object (i.e. a video) to function as a focal point for discussion, and develop discussion questions and/or active learning activities for participants. Journal Club meetings are open to any staff member in the library and MLIS students.

Journal Club typically meets 3-4 times during the semester and will be held online via Zoom.

For information about upcoming Journal Clubs, please visit the list of Upcoming Events in the Research and Teaching Fellowship LibGuide.
