Research Poster Guide for CCJS418U: Community Corrections

Project Goals

  • Know your audience and tailor your material accordingly.
  • Make sure your poster is readable.
  • Look at the big picture--does it all fit together cohesively? 
  • Make sure your poster has visual appeal. 

Create a Style Sheet

Layout:

  • Column width
  • Margin sizes
  • Space between columns

Fonts:

  • Uniform
  • Universal design
  • Font types & sizes

Color Scheme: 

  • 3-4 colors
  • CMYK

Charts and Images:

  • 300 dpi
  • Aspect ratio
  • Width and height
