BibGuru is a web-based citation manager sponsored by Paperpile. No download is necessary. Search for scholarly articles right in BibGuru and create a References list within seconds. Choose from a variety of citation styles, including AMA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, and more. The tool is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. 


CiteULike is a web-based citation manager sponsored by publisher Springer, CiteULike works especially well with publishers' websites. CiteULike provides researcher-based social networking, including tags, groups, and searching. Also stores personal PDF's.

BibDesk is a desktop application for Macs available for free from Sourceforge.  BibDesk is designed to work with LaTeX and is another option besides exporting BibTeX files from standard citation managers.  BibDesk has many of the same features of other citation managers with the ability to add files and organize your citations.
