About Alcine J. Wiltz

Wiltz was a professor of dance at UMD from 1983 to 2008, where he was the chair of the department of dance from 1983 to 2004. In 1976, he co-founded the Mid America Dance Company (MADCO), now known as the Modern American Dance Company. He was also the founding chair of the Department of Dance at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
