The Transcendentalists

Transcendentalism was a philosophical, literary, and religious movement that developed during the 1820s and 1830s in New England.  Transcendentalism was influenced by Romanticism, Unitarianism, and Indian religions.  Transcendentalism beliefs included Individualism, Idealism, and an emphasis on the importance of nature.
