Emily Irvine is a Research and Teaching Fellow pursuing her MLIS and MA in History. She received her BA in History from The George Washington University.
Her professional interests include special collections librarianship, education and outreach, and technology, science, and environmental history, with a particular focus on nuclear history.
Maddy Mikovits (she/her) is an MLIS student and Research and Teaching Fellow. She currently works as an Information Services Assistant for Fairfax County Public Libraries. She holds a B.A. in English with an Art minor from Southern Virginia University.
Maddy's interests include reference and instruction, information literacy, Open Educational Resources, embroidery, and tabletop roleplaying games.
Alexandra Kadis is a History and Library Science (HiLS) Dual Master's student and Research and Teaching Fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park. She works as a graduate assistant in Enrollment Management, an assistant editor for the Slavery, Law, and Power (SLP) project, and serves as the graduate student member on the University Library Council. Her historical research focuses on race, gender, and identity in Victorian England. She earned her BA in History from Duke University, with minors in Spanish and Psychology.
Her current LIS interests include academic librarianship, research and reference services, special collections, and accessibility.
Lottie Segal is a MLIS student with a focus in archives and digital curation. They are currently a student assistant in UMD's Special Collections and University Archives' Maryland and Historical Collections. They earned their BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Muhlenberg College.
Lottie's interests include: archives, academic libraries, museum education, as well as accessibility for all.
Nora Smolonsky (she/her/hers) is an MLIS student focusing in academic librarianship and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Nora graduated from Concordia University in 2016 with a degree in Western Society and Culture and a minor in religion. Nora has had diverse work experiences, most recently working in artist advocacy in the music industry. She enjoys reading queer fiction and exploring nature.
Robert Cheng is an MLIS student and a graduate assistant in Acquisitions and Continuing Resources for UMD Libraries. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA in History. Before returning to academia, he has worked as an EMT, a factory worker, and a paratrooper. Since 2019, he has been an organizer with the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines.
Robert's interests include librarianship, community organizing, and information literacy.
Emily Cranford is a MLIS student, the Research Education Coordinator for UMD Libraries' Research Education department, a Research and Teaching Fellow, and works for Streaming Media Reserves at McKeldin Library. She graduated from Roanoke College with a B.A. in Political Science.
Her interests include academic librarianship, special collections, restoration, and accessibility.
Andrea Gutmann Fuentes is a History and Library Science Dual Master's student and the Graduate Assistant for the Red de Estudios de Ciencias y Saberes en Latinoamérica y el Caribe. She graduated with a BA from the Ohio State University with a double major in Linguistics and Comparative Studies, and a minor in Spanish. Her history research focuses on labor history of the Americas with a focus on 20th Century Chile and the U.S.
Her interests include local and general history collections, special collections, and archives of labor, working class, and left-wing movements.
Benjamin Henry (Ben) is a MLIS student and a student assistant at UMD's Special Collections and University Archives' Maryland and Historical Collections. He earned his BA in Chinese with a minor in linguistics from University of Oregon, after which he taught English in Shanghai for a year, then went on to receive an MA in Chinese to English Translation and Localization Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California before working for a time as a freelance translator and post-translation editor.
His current interests include but are not limited to archives, academic libraries, museums, information literacy instruction, and anything involving multilingualism/
Bridget Jamison is an MLIS and History MA student who works as a student assistant for the Historic Maryland Newspapers Project and a graduate assistant in the School of Public Health. She holds a BA in History and Dance from Barnard College.
Bridget is a dance scholar and administrator and is interested in doing archival work with artists, students, arts researchers, and performance institutions.
Rigby Philips is the Metadata Projects Graduate Assistant at McKeldin Library and a Research and Teaching Fellow. She earned a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland and is now pursuing a dual-Master's degree in History and Library Science (HiLS). Her research is focused on women's roles in Peace Churches during the Second Great Awakening.

Daria Yocco (she/her) is an MLIS student focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She previously worked as a Digital Navigator Library Associate with the DC Public Library. Prior to pursuing her MLIS degree, Daria was the Advisory Director for Corporate Ethics and Integrity at Gartner, a technology and business advisory company. She earned her BA in Political Science at The Ohio State University and her Master of Public Administration at the Glenn College of Public Affairs, Ohio State.
Daria's interests include academic librarianship and community archives, especially in an LGBTQ+ context, information literacy, digital literacy, cycling, bouldering, and beekeeping.
