Resource Guides for UMD First-Year Books

A panel with the words "First Year Book Research Guide" and a picture of the Constitution with the words "We the Terps." These are on a background of orange and red concentric circles.

Welcome to the Libraries' research guide for the First Year Book! Each year, the University of Maryland selects a book for the first-year class to read, to spark discussions, debates, and expanded understanding of our world.

This year, our book is the U.S. Constitution. Our subject librarians have assembled some handy resources to help you dive deeper into the themes of each year's book. Follow the tabs on the left-hand side to look at some library resources to dive deeper on the topics within!

For further information and exciting campus events about the Constitution, visit the First Year Book website.
