Using the various resources related to Jewish and Women’s studies found at the University Libraries JWST491/WMST491 Research Guide [http://lib.guides.umd.edu/JWST491Grossman], you are asked to identity five sources related to your topics.
The Assignment
Using the links to the research resources indexed on the Guide, as well as internet search engine of your choice, identify and properly cite relevant sources of each of the following types.
1) A scholarly book available in the University of Maryland Libraries
a. What is the call number for this book?
b. Which library and in which section is it located?
c. Is the book on the shelf, or is it checked out?
d. It the book is checked out, how can you get a copy of it?
2) A scholarly article indexed in RAMBI or Women’s Studies International or ATLA Religion Index
a. Do the Libraries have an electronic copy of this article?
b. Do the Libraries have a paper copy of this article? (If so, note the location and call number of the journal).
3) A definition of a Jewish concept or a specific term prevalent to the topic your paper, for example, agunah, get, divorce, mikvah, lesbianism, etc.

b. Which of the above sources proved to be most useful and least useful to you and why.
4) Which of the following is the best database for locating articles on your topic? In a sentence or two please explain why.
