GIS for Spatial Epidemiology

To install ArcGIS:

b. Obtain a license: ArcGIS is a commercial software, so you will need to purchase a license or obtain an educational or trial license from Esri. c. Download the installer: Visit the Esri Downloads page to download the latest version of ArcGIS. You may need to sign in with your Esri account to access the download link. Choose the appropriate installer based on your system (Windows or macOS).

d. Install the software: Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. The steps may vary depending on your operating system, but generally, you'll be prompted to:

1.  Choose the installation directory: Select the folder where you want to install ArcGIS.
2. . Select components: Choose the components you want to install, such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, or additional extensions.
3.  Configure licensing: You will need to sign in with your Esri account and provide your license information during the installation. You can either choose a Single Use License, which is tied to one specific computer, or a Concurrent Use License, which allows multiple users to access the software within a network.
4. Complete the installation: Click "Install" to begin the installation process. Once completed, you may be prompted to restart your computer.
