National Parks and Historic Locations

Here are a few historic places that people can visit to learn more about the Constitution and the American Revolution.

Independence National Historical Park
The park represents the founding ideals of the nation, and preserves national and international symbols of freedom and democracy, including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were both debated and signed inside Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Colonial National Historical Park
On May 13, 1607, Jamestown was established as the first permanent English settlement in North America. It was also the location of the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War.
Constitution Gardens
Part of the National Mall and Memorial Parks in Washington D.C., the Constitution Gardens were dedicated in 1976 as an American Revolution Bicentennial tribute.
Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail
Stretching from South Carolina to Virgina, the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail traces the path taken by American Forces during the Revolutionary War. The trail is 330 miles from start to finish. There are 87 miles of walkable trail, while other parts can be driven.

Independence National Historical Park
