Textbooks are expensive - and heavy! The UMD Libraries wants to save you both money and physical stress. We have top textbooks for many General Education Courses on reserve at McKeldin that you can check out for 4 hours at a time. Our Course Reserves program also lets your instructors put course materials on hold for their classes. Check out all of our textbook resources at the links below!

Course Reserves
Course Reserves are resources and media that your instructors have asked us to put on hold for you. This may range from eBooks to videos. There are a few restrictions, so be sure to visit the website for more information.
Top Textbooks
The libraries have purchased textbooks for the largest courses on campus! We purchase approximately 100 textbooks for many of your General Education courses required for your major. Looking for your textbook? Check out the website for availability!

Statistical Consultation
Our Statistical Consultants work with you to solve almost any statistical problems. Whether you need help via email, phone, or virtual meetings, we meet you where you are. Get help with SAS, SPSS, and R!
Systematic Reviews
We have a team of librarians who can help you with systematic reviews. Many guidelines now require librarian assistance in developing and executing a search strategy. We are here to help you understand the ins and outs and help you complete your review.
Research Commons Workshops
The Libraries offers workshops on a variety of topics that help beginning researchers get their bearings. Whether you need help with Python, R, GIS, or basic scientific writing concepts, we have the workshop to get you started.
