HIST 819M: United States History: Reconstruction to the Present (Prof. Greene)

Guide to finding sources on U.S. history from 1865 to the present.

The purpose of this guide is to help students in HIST 819M locate and access secondary and primary sources, both online and print.  Note that because of the pandemic, UMD access to print materials is restricted though it should improve over time.  Currently certain books in McKeldin can be borrowed.  Other campus libraries remained closed.  Borrowing books from other USMAI campuses and through interlibrary loan from Big Ten and other university libraries is on hold.  Consult the UMD Libraries' home page for the latest news on opening and availability.

Most of the resources included in this guide are subscription resources which the UMD Libraries purchase.  Current students, faculty, and staff have access to them after logging in with directory ID and password.  Some resources included here are made freely available by libraries and educational institutions.

If you have questions about access or are having trouble finding something, contact Eric N. Lindquist, UMD history librarian.
