Some definitions

The canon of the Bible is defined differently over time and by different groups; the Catholic Bible includes books not in the Protestant Bible, for example. Books outside the canon are called Apocrypha (14 books of the Septuagint) and pseudepigrapha (spuriously attributed to biblical figures).
