Request materials digital copies of books, journal articles, and book chapters not owned by the UM Libraries offered to all UM College Park faculty, staff, and students.

New in ILL:

  1. DOI or Citation Autofill: Need to request the full text of a known article or chapter but not in a library catalog or database? Just copy+paste a DOI, APA citation, or MLA citation into the first field of the article request form, and click Autofill to populate the form. (Support for Chicago style citations coming soon!)
  2. Switch to Chapter Request: Need to request a chapter from a book you found in WorldCatUMD? Use this new button to flip the loan request to a chapter request, which helps us to scan and deliver the PDF faster.
  3. Pick up and other preferences: Need someone else to pick up your books? Users can now pre-authorize another individual to pick up any of their requested ILL materials at any time as well as indicate other preferences around material use and format under Account Settings. You can present your photo ID to pick up an item, or they can present theirs; either way, it will be checked out to your account.
