To find contemporary books and pamphlets about the Haitian revolt, use the advanced search in UMDiscover and limit publication dates to 1791 to 1804 (or somewhat later). Many of these documents have been digitized and are available online. Search on Toussaint as well as Hayti and variants of Saint Domingo.
