Neuroscience

A guide to the University of Maryland Libraries' services, all in support of the study of neuroscience

Finding Books & e-Books

Begin your search by using the library catalog to find print and online books. If you already know the call number of the book, you can use the Call Number Browse tool in the library catalog to find your item. Most life sciences print books, including neuroscience, are located in McKeldin Library on the 7th floor. You can refer to this handy floor plan map of McKeldin Library for guidance. If we don't have the book you need or the books listed here are not available, you can suggest we purchase it or request it from another library.

Below is a list of popular items that may help you navigate your studies. Remember to begin your search with the library's catalog, and if you can't find what you need, reach out to your librarian!

Below you will find ebook collections owned by UMD. These are large collections from notable vendors. Many of our books are now electronic and can be found in our catalog. When you use the library's catalog, you can filter by Type and Online (Full Access) to access ebooks. If you can't find what you need or are having trouble, remember to reach out to your librarian!
