The Writing Center works with UMD undergraduate students only. They can help at any stage of the writing process, from talking through ideas, getting started with research, or finalizing drafts, and work with all experience levels. The Graduate School Writing Center offers support for UMD graduate students only at every stage of their development as academic and professional communicators. They offer writing and oral communications consultations, workshops and weekly write-ins, writing groups, and English editing for international graduate students. They can also provide information on how to use sources, writing in specific disciplines, and writing for a specific linguistic or cultural context.
