Nexis Uni (formerly LexisNexis Academic) provides fulltext to news, business and legal information. Newspapers date back to the 1970's. Please Note: The Washington Post is no longer included in Nexis Uni.The National Newspapers Core database includes the Washington Post.
Because Nexis Uni is a fulltext database, searching using - and - between words will produce too many results and many will not be relevant.
Bring the words closer together by:
1. place phrases in quotes
"middle east"
"civil war"
"economic development"
"united arab emirates"
2. Limit words to appear in the same paragraph or sentence by using /p or /s
azerbaijan /p military /p democracy /p "united states"
3. limit to a particular part of the document and place keywords in parenthesis
hlead = headline and lead paragraphs
