Play it Sam, for old times sake

This guide provides information on finding sound and music recordings.

It specifically addresses the usage of:

  • Hard copy sound recordings located at the University
  • Online music and sound databases to which we subscribe
    • Naxos
    • Alexander Street (includes many genre databases)
    • Database of Recorded American Music (DRAM)
  • Extended techniques for finding records
  • Even more recording resources at UMD

On the left sidebar in the Online Audio  pages, you will find a collection of links to our most frequently used databases. On many pages you will also find a list of the contents in the left sidebar.

The center area contains the content of the pages and the right sidebar will frequently contain a "Did you know?" box.

Happy listening and please remember to fill out our survey below!
