Population Schedules (also called the enumeration schedules or federal
manuscript census) list the information collected by the census about
individuals, including their names, occupations, etc. It is released 72
years after each census.
The digitized census records for all the states are available at the National Archives website.
This guide provides a summary of the U.S. Census population schedules for
Maryland available in the Maryland Room at Hornbake Library. The Maryland Room does
not have population schedules for other states.

The Maryland Room
Located on the first floor of Hornbake Library North, the Maryland Room serves as the reading room for Special Collections and University Archives. All materials from our collections must be viewed in the reading room.
The Maryland Room is open to University of Maryland students, faculty, and staff; faculty, students, and staff from other colleges and universities; local, national, and international scholars; and members of the general public. You do not need an appointment to view materials in the Maryland Room.
