JWST491/WMST491 (Grossman): Judaism and the construction of Gender

Published in Jerusalem by Mosad Ha-Rav Kuk. Because of the way McKeldin does its cataloguing of biblical books, the set is not shelved together. Thus the three volumes of Genesis (בראשית) are catalogued as BS1235.3 .K55 1997; the two volumes of Exodus (שמות) as BS1245.3 .H35 1991, and so forth. Some, but not all volumes have the term דעת מקרא listed in the cataloguing information. You'll have to work a little to locate them all. (If anyone wants to take on the job of getting all the call numbers, please pass them on to me and I'll add them here to the bibliography.) The set is a good indication of the state of modern religiously oriented scholarship in Israel. The commentary is in Hebrew. Upon completion of the project, one of the editors, Yehuda Kil, published Li-gemaro shel ha-mifʻal ha-farshani "Daʻat Mikra" (Alon Shevut: Mishpaḥat Ḳil, 2002–03) McK BS1186 .K55 2003.
