The University of Maryland, College Park campus has seven libraries. You will probably most often use the Architecture Library, McKeldin Library, and Hornbake Library (home of the National Trust Library collection).
The Libraries' homepage is www.lib.umd.edu Below are some useful links from the Libraries.
The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation is home to the master's program in historic preservation. The Architecture Building contains the Architecture Library, the Visual Resources Collection, several computer labs, and the Ditigal Output Center.
A unique resource available to you!
The Maryland Room is your access point for the National Trust for Historic Preservation library collection, and for many other great items pertaining to Maryland history and the University!
The UM Libraries separate our books and shelve them by size in order to save space. A Stacks book is regular sized, while a Folio book is larger. The largest books are Oversize.
In the Architecture Library, Folio books and Periodical Stacks are on the first floor and Stacks are on the mezzanine.
In McKeldin Library, Folio books are toward the front of the building, Stacks are toward the back, Periodical Stacks are in the movable shelving at the far back, and Reference, Current Periodicals, and Microfilm are on the first floor.
