Finding new music: A guide

This guide is meant to be a resource for college musicians as they search for new works to perform. This is a compilation of a few resources that the library provides, as well as a few suggestions of where to look outside the library

IMSLP Introduction

IMSLP: The International Music Score Library Project, started in 2006, is one of the largest online digital repositories for music in the public domain. Since its creation it has amassed a collection of over 370,000 scores, 38,000 recordings, and has works of over 12,500 composers.

While most commonly used a resource for quickly accessing orchestral parts and scores, IMSLP is a great tool for viewing a composers complete list of works. IMSLP also can be used to discover a composer's solo and chamber works for your specific instrument.
