Finding Archival Material

ARCHIVAL COLLECTIONS

Archival collections are a rich resources of primary sources. Most archival and manuscript materials can be found using ArchivesUM. ArchivesUM is is a database to help researchers locate archival and manuscript collections at the University of Maryland Libraries. Search ArchivesUM if you are looking for primary source materials, such as correspondence, diaries, and records of organizations.  

ArchivesUM contains a list of finding aids for our archival collections.  A finding aid is a guide to a particular collection.  They provide a description of what you can find in a collection, as well as links to related materials and subjects.
