What to do when your journal is missing

Ok so your journal is one of those ones that hasn't been put up on the RIPM archive site yet.

Don't Panic! We have your back!

The first thing to do is look for the Journal title in WorldCatUM. We may have what you are looking for in the library or on microfilm. Be sure to check the journal filter in WorldCat's left hand sidebar. If we don't have it or it is listed in WorldCat Libraries. You can get the journal through Interlibrary Loan.

If you want to be really thorough you could check if we have the journal online using the UMD Libraries Citation Finder.

Using Interlibrary Loan
Choose the "Article or Other Copy" request on the left hand side bar. Fill out the Journal Title, the Year of Publication, the Volume and Issue Number if you know them, and the "Not wanted after date" box. You can also add more specific information if you want like the month, pages, and article title but if you are unsure of these, you don't need to include them. Then click submit. That's it! You're done!
