Archives & Manuscript Collections

Special Collections at the University of Maryland Libraries contain personal papers and other manuscripts collections documenting all aspects of Maryland history and culture.  There are many collections related to women and the Civil War in Maryland.

A list of archival and manuscript collections available at the University Libraries' related to women and the Civil War.  All collections are available for researchers in the Maryland Room in Hornbake Library.  Those collections noted as "Digital" are also available online via the UMD Digital Collections.
