Where can you get data to use in a GIS? The UM Libraries have geospatial data in the collections, many websites have free data, and data can also be purchased.

The Maryland State Data Center has already compiled and analyzed a great deal of census data for the state and localities. Take some time and investigate this website--it is a gold mine!
