Theses and Dissertations at University of Maryland Libraries

A guide to finding theses and dissertations written at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Finding Online Theses and Dissertations

Full text of UMD dissertations and theses is available online since December 2003 in DRUM. These are available to everyone. In instances where the student has restricted access to their electronic thesis or dissertation in DRUM for a specific period of time, any physical copies are also restricted.

University of Maryland doctoral dissertations from 1997 to the present and master's theses from December 2003 to the present are available through ProQuest's Dissertations and Theses: Full Text. Because of licensing agreements, this database can be used only by current faculty, staff, and students of the University of Maryland, College Park, and authorized users from other subscribing institutions. Theses and dissertations from over 1,000 colleges and universities are included.
